Profile of Mr. Takahiro Koga
A ceramic artist from Fukuoka Prefecture. Selected for "Forbes JAPAN CULTURE-PRENEURS 30 2025."
He has attracted attention for his art, which uses studs in a way that is in contrast to the traditional Japanese aesthetic that values tranquility and pays respect to Sen no Rikyu.
His challenging style has been highly praised both domestically and internationally, leading to collaborations with sports brands and anime works, as well as the development of NFTs.
In recent years, he has been working on a new theme, "NEO WABI-SABI," which combines these polar opposites, and expresses an aesthetic sense that is common to the diverse Japanese culture through expressions that go beyond the conventional wisdom of the craft world.
