Sakai Plaza of Rikyu and Akiko × Czech Pavilion (Ryurei Tea Ceremony)

The standing tea ceremony will be a re-enactment of the "Sakai Hospitality Tea Ceremony" held at the Czech Pavilion, and tea will be served using tea utensils including Bohemian glassware from the Czech Republic. Japanese sweets with a motif of "Rene," the Czech Pavilion's mascot, will be served.

On the 21st, from ③ to ⑤, a shamisen performance by Tsuruya Musical Instruments will be held.
Shamisen performance by Tsuruya Musical Instruments

Performances using Tsuruya Musical Instruments, which were shown at events sponsored by the Osaka-Kansai Expo and at collaborative events with the US Pavilion, will be held at three of the tea-serving venues.

Participation fee: Free *As the performance will be held at Sakai City Tea Room Shinan and Sakai Plaza of Rikyu and Akiko, a separate tea ceremony experience fee will be charged.
Contents: Performance and talk (20 minutes), 3 performances per day
SAKAI Gourmet EXPO

Japanese sweets making experience

You can experience making traditional Sakai wagashi (nerikiri) by hand under the guidance of an instructor.
Participants will be able to take home two freshly made Japanese sweets (one seasonal and one related to the Expo).

Live painting performance by ICHIGO ICHIE

Artist and performer Vít Kodousek, who served as Chief of Protocol at the Czech Pavilion at the Osaka-Kansai Expo, will be performing a painting performance using ink.
You can enjoy live painting, in which the artist paints a "moment that can only be created in this place, right now," while sharing the same time and space with the audience.
Date and time: March 20th (Friday, national holiday) to 22nd (Sunday) 11:00- 14:30pm- (each session lasts approximately 25 minutes)

Anyone who collects five or more eligible stamps, follows the Sakai Tourism and Convention Association on Instagram, and answers a survey will receive a Myaku Myaku x Haniwa Bucho collaboration pin badge!

<Conditions for receiving pin badges> (All three conditions must be met)
1. Get 5 or more stamps to receive a pin badge

・Each person is limited to one stamp passport.
・Pin badges are limited to one per person.
- Anything stamped on paper other than the stamp passport does not qualify for the pin badge.
- It is not possible to collect the pin badges on behalf of others, so please make sure everyone comes together to collect the pin badges.
・Resale of stamp passports, pin badges, stamped paper, etc. is prohibited.
・In principle, each person will be limited to one stamp.
・Please note that the dates and times when stamps can be stamped vary depending on the location.
・Stamp passports and pin badges will be available while supplies last.

Concurrent event: Sakai sweets tasting experience

As part of Tezukayama Gakuin University's Well-Being Co-Creation Hub's practical learning and regional revitalization efforts using Sweets Psychology®, three new collaborative sweets have been completed with the full cooperation of a Sakai shop! A product unveiling and tasting event will be held by students at Sakai Plaza of Rikyu and Akiko.
