"Sakai Tai-an is a reconstruction of the original tea house "Taian," the only surviving national treasure designed by Sen no Rikyu."
Based on research findings from historical documents, modern craftsmen have brought Sakai Tai-an back to life in Sakai, and visitors can enter the tea room to experience the space.
You can also visit "Muichian," a replica of Rikyu's four-and-a-half-tatami-mat tea room from the Kitano Grand Tea Ceremony.
